学动脑，玩乐高 LEGO classes for kids

PTA今年提出的最新课外活动 - 学动脑，玩乐高！以下是PTA部分赞助的两个不同年级的乐高班。为了达到最好效果，每班每堂课只收最多20名学生。这星期六开始到PTA处报名。最先报名和交费的20位学生优先录取。每学生每堂课交费 $15美金。若一次报名三堂课，只需交费 $30美金。交费方式:cash or check。两个课程详情如下。有问题请联系许励Li Xu: pta@nwchinese.org

1.      LEGO Jr Engineer class from LEAP4Kidz™ offers an integrated STEM curriculum including science, technology, engineering, math, as well as history, language arts, and team decision making to children using LEGO® bricks and motors.  This is a hands-on class where students will build and design with Legos and receive an introduction to levers, gears, pulleys and more using batteries and motors to bring their creations to life!
学生年级要求 2nd - 4th grade;

三周课程日期 3 weeks dates: 10/20, 10/27, 11/3.

时间和教室12pm - 1pm, Room#1113

 

2.      LEGO Jr Builder class from LEAP4Kidz™  offers an integrated STEM curriculum including science, technology, engineering, math, as well as history, language arts, and team decision making to children using LEGO® bricks.  This is a hands-on class where students will build and design with Lego bricks creating things from the world around them!

学生年级要求 K – 1st grade
三周课程日期 3 weeks dates: 10/20, 10/27, 11/3.

赞助PTA 的知识讲座Sponsored PTA business seminars

Supporting our PTA fundraising mission this year, we have brought in qualified sponsorships from our local business partners. With their generous sponsorships, PTA can provide a series of meaningful seminars to our parents free of charge, support our local business growth and fund (partially) creative extra-curricular programs for our kids at NWCS. This week's seminars are:

·         『黄金退休计划与节税策略』我们会分析未来所得税的趋势并与大家分享如何利用各种金融工具，合法的节税甚至避税同时为自己打造一个专属的退休划增加退休收入，进而创造稳定的现金流，内容精彩丰富，我们同时提供点心饮料

·         家庭个人投资理财规划讲座Family investment planning

普通家庭个人怎样学会投资才能做到早投资早受。许多人开始考虑投资到金融市场，怎样才是正确的做法。是否需要给孩子存教育基金，哪一种最适合您的家庭。买房贷款应怎样搭配首付跟选择多少年还清。怎样去准备自己的退休金。

西雅图歌舞团将以中国江南为主题于10月20日星期六推出大型民俗歌舞晚会-《梦江南》(晚会详情请看附件)。应NWCS老师和家长的要求，西歌将再一次于本星期六在NWCS为大家提供团体优惠票。NWCW教师, 家长及学生将享受团体价/每张票$20（原每张$25）。对每一张售出票，西歌将会捐赠$5给购票的老师/家长/学生的所在班级作为经费（如节日/年终给学生们买礼物等）。另外，我们还有少部分VIP票每张售$30 (原价$50)，对此西歌将会每张捐赠$10给指定班级。欢迎大家踊跃购票！售票时间/地点为星期六9:30am至12:45pm在NWCS Admin附近。请别忘了登记您的学生姓名及班级。Any questions please contact 卞荣荣Rongrong Bian: rongrong.bian@nwchinese.org

超市礼卷从本周开始销售 Start of gift certificates at the PTA desk
PTA代售的超市礼卷是我们班级活动经费的一个重要来源，每张礼卷销售额的5％会转化为班级活动经费。销售活动从本周开始，请在9:30-1:30到PTA办公桌(靠近学校行政办公桌)购买。

请尚未选出PTA lead的各班老师和家长完成选举.

每个班的PTA是老师，家长，和孩子们之间重要桥粱，是我们办学成功的重要成份。请家长们积极参与PTA活动，配合各班老师本周完成PTA lead选举，好让我们尽快开展活动。我们特别需要下午班的家长们完成这项选举。PTA is an important bridge between teachers, parents, and students, is an important component in the school's operations.  We invite all parents to participate in PTA activities, especially finishing the election for the PTA lead this week so that we can carry our activities forward.  We especially need the afternoon class parents to participate in this election.

10月6日值勤的班级 1A & 1D

早上由1A班，下午由1D班值勤。请该两班PTA lead和家长们把值勤人员安排好。On Oct 6., class 1A will take the morning PTA duties, and 1D will take the afternoon duties.  PTA leads and parents from those classes please make the appropriate arrangements.
