年度野餐会 Annual School Picnic
春季学期已经过半, 夏天快要到了. PTA将于在学期结束时举办一年一度的西北中文学校野餐会.
时间: 6月10日(周日) 3pm-6pm
地点: Marymoor Park, Picnic Shelter North
野餐会面向学校所有的老师, 孩子和家庭. 请想参加的家庭在日历上先预留好时间并点击以下表格报名:
如同其他的PTA活动, 此活动的举办离不开广大的volunteers的热心帮助. 表格中有volunteer选项.请有意帮忙者勾选.
We’ll host the annual NWCS summer picnic at Marymoor Park in Redmond, on the afternoon of Sunday, June 10. Details will be communicated in future weeks. We welcome all the teachers, children and families. Please mark your calendar and sign up by going into the above registration form link.

We are getting close the end of the school year. Please purchase gift certificate as soon as possible to raise money for your class. There is not many gift certificates left.

PTA Weekly Services
NWCS Library Opens This Saturday
NWCS library will be open this Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm. We have DVD movies and TV series including children's materials in the library. We also have the popular 英汉双解中文字典 for sale. All proceeds go to NWCS PTA.
If you have library materials that are due, please return them during library hours.

China Visa Services
Northwest Education Services is offering China visa services. Visa service fee (cash or check) schedule is:
$45 for a single application;
$35 each for 2 applications and;
$30 each for 3 or more applications.
Visa application fee (money order or cashier check) is made separately to the Chinese Consulate.
Application form can be downloaded from www.nweducation.com .
Special Note: If an applicant has previously obtained a China visa from a consulate other than the San Francisco office and not in the current passport, the applicant will need to provide the original passport with the visa granted earlier.

CIE Scholarship Program
Our 10th annual scholarship application just started. Application period begins April 9, 2012 and ends June 15. If you could post it weekly or bi-weekly until June 15th, we'd greatly appreciate it.
The CIE-Seattle APA Youth Scholarship program is a motivation program designed to promote APA (Asian Pacific Americans) career interest in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. There are three award categories covering 7th graders to undergraduate college students with a total award amount of $4000. The program is not only an opportunity for students to win the scholarship to be recognized for their achivements, but also to learn the process to put things together, to ask for recommendation letter, to reflect upon where they are and where they want to go.
