重要提醒 – 请勿违规停车  Special Note – Parking Issue

Newport High在有其他活动的时候, 有可能停车位会较满. 但请大家务必在任何情况下, 都不要在不该停的地方停车. 上周有数辆车停在了楼东边的loading door前面, 造成NHS无法运输东西. 另有两辆无permit的车停在残疾人停车位. 还有两辆车停在了没有停车线的地方, 堵住了残疾人停车位的进出.  NHS一度想要将这些车辆拖走. 也许违章停车的那几位还不知道自己上周六很幸运. 这里我们通告大家, 中文学校反对这种图自己便利而无视规则及他人利益的行为. 下一次如有拖车发生我们不会试图帮助违章者.  其实NHS的停车位是够的, 只要你肯多走几步. 位置非常好的地段多数有特殊用途, 请注意辨识标识.

Please keep in mind that please do not park your car at inappropriate place. Last Saturday several cars blocked a loading door of NHS, and some cars occupied handicap park without permit. NWCS is against such illegal parking behaviors and will not be responsible or help when such cars get towed.

NWCS 年度野餐会  Annual Picnic

春季学期已经过半, 夏天快要到了. 我们如往常一样将在学期结束时举办一年一度的西北中文学校野餐会. 时间是6月11日(最后一个学校日)的下午. 地点及其他细节我们以后会陆续通知. 野餐会面向学校所有的老师, 孩子和家庭. 请想参加的家庭在日历上先预留好时间!

如同其他的PTA活动, 此活动的举办离不开广大的volunteers的热心帮助. 希望有意参加并帮忙的各位给PTA发email告知我们. 谢谢!

We’ll host the annual NWCS summer picnic on the afternoon of the last school day, June 11. Details will be communicated in future weeks. We welcome all the teachers, children and families.  Please mark your calendar!

Such event won’t be successful without many volunteers’ contributions. Here we call for volunteers for this event and please email PTA to let us know that you want to help. Thanks!

家长招聘保姆:

I need an experienced house keeper.  She needs to be very clean, neat and hard working. She needs to work for 5-6 hours a day, only on the weekdays, ( Monday- Friday). She would work on cleaning around the house(inside and outside), wash the dishes, cook an light amount of food, wash clothes, etc.  I would pay from around $15.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on the experience level. 华人活动:

2011年北美地區台灣傳統週-「民俗體育類」演出活动

基隆市中正國中青少年民俗訪問團於2011年5月6日(星期五)下午6點在西雅圖兒童醫院附近的Center for Spiritual Living (5801 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105)大禮堂舉行演出。

演出節目包括「天階如水」、「威震天下」、「旋轉乾坤」、「美麗的寶島」、「牧野騎情」、「陀螺千千轉」、「繩釆飛揚」等精心設計的舞蹈、扯鈴及跳繩特技表演。節目演出時間約90分鐘，在演出之前有祥獅猷瑞，並有百人聖火傳遞儀式，也邀請在場的小朋友一起上舞台參加(十歲以下，能自行上台者，需要當天在場先登記，參加者，儀式完成後，均可獲小禮物一份)。

入場票价: $10及 $5。本周六（4/23）会在西北中文学校售票。

中国河北杂技团演出Acrobat tickets

夏天旅行信息  ( Summer Travel Information )

国庆两岸之旅

今年是辛亥百年. 中国大陆和台湾均有隆重的庆祝活动. 亚太文教基金会主办(西北中文学校协助)2011年国庆之旅, 九月底从西雅图出发, 先后在北京及台北渡过十一国庆及双十节. 此活动时间在学校的暑期之外, 但对于退休的长辈及无时间限制的家庭是个很好的回国及游览海峡两岸的时机.为获取较优惠的机票价格, 此行程需要在五月确定. 有兴趣的家庭请尽快email PTA询问详情.

Northwest Education Services is offering China visa services.  Visa applications can be collected from 12:15pm to 1:45pm in the PTA / Admin area on Saturdays during the Chinese school.  Visa service fee (cash or check) is $30 for a single application and $25 each for two or more applications.  Visa application fee (money order or cashier check) is made separately to the Chinese consulate.  Application form can be downloaded from http://www.nweducation.com.  For more information or questions, please contact John at john@nweducation.com or at 425-698-5385.

捐助日本地震海啸的灾民  ( Help the people in Japan in earthquake and tsunami disaster )
3月19日和26日两个周六, 我们为捐助日本灾民所设立的捐款箱收到了总计$428的捐款. 该款项已经寄给US Red Cross. 这里我们衷心感谢所有献出爱心的同学和家长, 以及为此活动做出贡献的志愿者!

Over the two school days on 3/19 and 3/26, we collected $428 donation for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief. The money has been mailed to US Red Cross. Many thanks to all donors who lend their helping hands to the people in the disaster. Also we appreciate the volunteers who spent time and efforts to make this fund-raising event a success.
