IMPORTANT NOTICE – Designate your MS matching donation to your class

The school just received a matching donation from Microsoft, for the MS volunteers worked at our school. The volunteers should have received a confirmation from Microsoft already. If you are one of the them, please contact m99xu@yahoo.com asap ( within 24hrs ). We will transfer the appropriate amount to the class you designate immediately so the class can benefit from your donation before the school year ends.

Hengda Dance Academy Anural Performance

Hengda Dance Academy’s Anural Performance will be hold on June 3^rd and June 4^th, 2011. It’s titled 《舞之韻 – 2011. 多元舞蹈文化展 》(Rhythm of Dance 2011 ﹣ A Cultural Kaleidoscope). The performance location is Intiman Theater ( 201 Mercer St. Seattle, WA 98109 ). There are three shows: 7:30PM on Friday June 3rd and 2:30PM, 7:30PM on Saturday June 4^th. 年度野餐会  Annual School Picnic

1.      建议携带: 食物 (水果也可), 玩具(天气好的话, 是户外活动的好机会. 我们也会准备一些体育用品), 以及一个好心情.

2011 APA youth scholarship program

To provide our contributions and commitment to the Asian Pacific American (APA) community, CIE/USA – Seattle is proud to announce the following 2011 APA youth scholarship program:

     Scholarship Award -

 A motivation program designed to promote APA career interest in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.   There are three award categories covering 7^th graders to undergraduate college students with a total award amount of $4000.  Application period ends May 31, 2011.

2011年学校大会及董事会选举  AGMM and Board Election

本年度西北中文学校的全校成员大会将于6月4日10-12点于Newport High举行. 另外对于学校董事会的两个空额进行补选也将在同时进行. 具体信息已在本周一由董事会及选举委员会通过email向全校通知, 并且发布在学校主页上 (http://www.nwchinese.org) 请注意阅读.

This year’s Annual General Member Meeting (AGMM) will be held at Newport High School on Saturday, June 4^th from 10am to 12pm. Also, we’ll elect two more board members at the same time. The detailed information regarding these two events has been communicated school-wide through broadcast email from the board and CNE, and posted on the home page of school website (http://www.nwchinese.org)

年度野餐会  Annual School Picnic Updates

本年度的全校野餐会已确定于学校最后一天, 6月11日的下午3点至7点, 于位于Redmond的Marymoor Park举行. 大家一起在学校度过了一个学年, 这是一个和朋友们聊天, 放松, 游戏的好机会.

PTA会组织安排一些食品及游戏项目,  希望大家踊跃参加.

1.      餐会是pot-luck形式(学校会提供一些食物补充). 希望大家携带一些自家的菜和大家分享. 如有困难, 我们建议在餐会时在admin table适当捐献一点钱.

2.      我们在安排食物, 游戏, 及准备和整理方面都需要volunteer的帮忙. 请愿意为大家出力的各位和PTA联系, 或在下面的注册网页内标明.

3.      请准备参与餐会的家庭按à这里注册. 这有助于我们估计参与人数. 另外在该网页上也请注明是否会带菜及volunteer.

NWCS 年度野餐会 Annual Picnic

夏天快要到了. 我们如往常一样将在学期结束时举办一年一度的西北中文学校野餐会. 时间是6月11日(最后一个学校日)的下午. 地点及其他细节我们以后会陆续通知. 野餐会面向学校所有的老师, 孩子和家庭. 请想参加的家庭在日历上先预留好时间!

如同其他的PTA活动, 此活动的举办离不开广大的volunteers的热心帮助. 希望有意参加并帮忙的各位给PTA发email告知我们. 谢谢!

2011年北美地區台灣傳統週-「民俗體育類」演出活动

基隆市中正國中青少年民俗訪問團於2011年5月6日(星期五)下午6點在西雅圖兒童醫院附近的Center for Spiritual Living (5801 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105)大禮堂舉行演出。

演出節目包括「天階如水」、「威震天下」、「旋轉乾坤」、「美麗的寶島」、「牧野騎情」、「陀螺千千轉」、「繩釆飛揚」等精心設計的舞蹈、扯鈴及跳繩特技表演。節目演出時間約90分鐘，在演出之前有祥獅猷瑞，並有百人聖火傳遞儀式，也邀請在場的小朋友一起上舞台參加(十歲以下，能自行上台者，需要當天在場先登記，參加者，儀式完成後，均可獲小禮物一份)。
